Kamehameha crushes Kahuku in opener

It’s safe to say the Warrior Air Express has arrived.
A year after new coach David Stant installed a pass-first attack, fifth-ranked Kamehameha went to work and blanked No. 4 Kahuku 35-0 last night at Aloha Stadium.
Junior Edmund Kamano Jr. completed 10 of his 16 pass attempts for 137 yards, including three touchdowns. Classmate Ryan Ho scooted through Kahuku’s defense for 177 rushing yards on just nine carries, including touchdown jaunts of 80 and 71 yards. Kamehameha routs Kahuku

Showing off some razor sharp execution in its season opener, Kamehameha blitzed Kahuku, 35-0, last night in a nonleague football matchup of perennial Hawai’i high school powers.
A crowd of about 3,000 at Aloha Stadium watched Ryan Ho take a swing pass from quarterback Edmund Kamano Jr. in the right flat on the game’s first play from scrimmage and race 80 yards for a touchdown.
Kahuku fumbled the ball away five plays into the ensuing possession, with Warriors linebacker Tamatea Graham recovering on the Red Raiders’ 38. Kamano’s 2-yard bootleg TD run helped put Kamehameha up, 14-0, with 5:40 remaining in the first quarter.
