Hawaii Army National Guard Recruiter Aloha, I am a New Recruiter assigned to Mililani and Hanalani high school. My name is Raquel Faiupu and I am a Sergeant in Hawaii’s “OWN” Army National Guard. I am married with 4 beautiful children, ages ranging from 1 year to 7 years old. I was born and raised on Oahu my whole life. I’ve lived in several different cities such as Nanakuli, Waipahu, Aiea, Pearl City, Ewa Beach and soon in Mililani. I joined the military as a high school Senior. A graduate from the home of the Na Alii’s “AIEA” back in 1999, makes it 9 strong years being apart of this great organization. Initially, I joined wanting to utilize the educational benefits offered. However, ultimately I’ve come to realize that deep down inside I’ve always had a desire to serve in defending our great State and Nation. Enlisting on 23 January 1999 as a PVT wanting to become a 74D (54B), Chemical Specialist and receiving only a $3K bonus was the start of a new life. Since then, I’ve acquired additional MOS’s and skills; 42A, Administrative Specialist; SQI4, a Recruiter and AGI/SGL instructor. I ENJOY and LOVE what I currently do…being a Recruiter I would say is comparable to being a Mother or a Best Friend. TAKING CARE OF SOLDIER’S is my motto. My goal is to help pave the path for new soldier’s in the HIARNG, both Prior Service and Non-Prior Service. Please, at any time and for all your concerns don’t hesitate to give me a call at (808)679-7783 or (808)672-1901. Mahalo for your time and attention…Take care and GOD Bless!!! SGT Raquel Faiupu
